- Arkham Freemasons
- Demesne: Arkham and wherever else Freemasons get it on
Barney is wary of Freemasons as a rule, after what happened to him in India, but the local chapter is
pretty quiet. They have an excellent network of global resources, and a plethora of lapel pins.

 |
- Esoteric Order of Dagon
- Demesne: Innsmouth and most of the South Pacific
The Order overseas everything that goes on in Innsmouth, and more often than not is responsible for unsavory
business that occurs there. With the exception of the Flagon o' Dagon brewery, nothing good comes out of that
creepy seaside town (especially The Order's weekly newsletter, which consists of little more than fishery news
and tide reports).

- Immortal Goat Society
- Demesne: Arkham
The local cult of crackpots, the IGS is usually harmless. Most weekends are spent staging recreations of
the "Blair Witch Project". The problem with the IGS is that they are easily swayed to causes more nefarious
by anyone with decent public speaking skills or a pack of Magic: The Gathering cards.

 |
- Miskatonic Alumni Association
- Demesne: Old Town Arkham
The M.U. Alumni Association provides a number of excellent services, but at the same time, they allow
a lot of riff raff to join. Barney is a proud member, even though they no longer invite him to speak at
functions.

 |
- Miskatonic Glee Club
- Demesne: Various spots in the Miskatonic Valley
The Glee Club at M. U. is a somewhat suspicious assortment of singers. Founded in 1986 by then-student Ricky Zann (before becoming a successful singer in his field (it's hard to pinpoint his style), the MGU has taken Gregorian Chant to a new level. They perform concerts only on the solstice.

 |
- Shimmering Eye Cult
- Demesne: Canada
A Canadian group of zombie-master cultists that serve the Old Ones through their leader, Ian Whitaker. The members are motivated and apathetic (a dangerous combination).
|
 |
- Silver Twilight Lodge
- Demesne: Arkham
Although the lodge was built on the site of a sacred Indian burial ground, and the former president was
accused of devil worship and indecent exposure, SPONGE has had no concrete reason to mistrust the organization.
|
 |
- Starry Wisdom Sect
- Demesne: North and South America (probably everywhere else)
An international group of kooks that equate destruction with salvation (not unlike most religions nowadayw). The Sect is multi-tiered and led by a shadowy group known only as the Inner Trapezoid. Father Pedro Guererra is a known member of the Sect, and single-handedly responsible for more deaths than Big Tobacco.

 |
- Western Survivalists
- Demesne: Arkham and the rest of the world
A tough band of no-nonsense (and no questions asked) problem solvers. Barney relies on his pal Frank West and the rest of the Western Survivalist to take care of whatever SPONGE can't handle alone. You never know what household chemicals will come in handy until Western Survivalists appear on the scene.

 |
- ZONC
- Demesne: Zurich, Germany
Barney has been a member of the tiny Zurich Organization for Naming Creatures since 1990. A few key individuals in the scientific community agreed that the cataloguing of new "species" of entities hitherto unencountered by normal humankind was necessary. The other three members are Dr. Frank West, Dr. Emil Johannes of the Zurich Antiquities Society, and horror/fantasy novelist F.P. Smith. They meet semi-annually to compare notes and photos, and to read Smith's latest short stories. |
